ClrMamePro Exe based DAT vs Progettosnaps

Hi, I normally use the MAME exe to generate a DAT using ClrMamePro.

But recently I needed a DAT to use with RetroArch for a MAME playlist (I recently learned you can use a DAT to speed up the import).
I believe the DAT generated from the exe is more like an alias, so I needed a complete DAT and thankfully there is one available from ProgettoSnaps.

Out of curiosity I scanned a copy of my existing MAME set with the DAT from ProgrettoSnaps just to see if the DAT had any differences.
I discovered there were a few ROMs that had some differences (see attachment).

When I generate the DAT from the exe I generally click 'OK to all'. But I wondered have I been generating the DAT incorrectly, or are there some differences in the ProgettoSnaps DAT? Perhaps ProgettoSnaps is slightly newer?

Does anyone please have any advice as to which method would be better, or an idea as to why there were a few ROMs that were different?
