it looks like we need 5.95 GB more rom spaces for new NeoGeo only folder . Those roms are in the Arcade folder already. why duplicate ?

Everything is actually in Arcade, so the neogeo directory is useless. It's probably a request, but it's by no means necessary. It would become necessary if (and only if) the neogeo roms disappeared from the arcade directory (which is not the case at the moment).

 what was requested is that a Neo-Geo only dat was made, got nothing to do with folder-structure.

That's what I'm saying, it's a request. But the neogeo set is also to be found in arcade, making (for all people, I repeat) the neogeo-only dat useless.

The NeoGeo-only dat has existed for years now, just not on every build type. This update -did- rename it from Neogeo to Neo Geo, but otherwise it's the same dat that's always been there. Personally I edit my arcade dat to strip NeoGeo out every time I update (via script), so I have them split properly. For people who just want a complete set with no fuss, there's no need to worry about the NeoGeo dat.

On the off chance anyone else is on Linux and wants a split arcade dat, I use xmlstarlet for it:

Your "szAppRomPaths[2] _ROMz/arcade/" path already includez the NeoGeo ROMz if you built it using the FBNeo datz.
