Laserdisc Collection

I was looking for this and finally acquired it. For anyone who is interested.

Laserdisc Collection v1.4 (2025-01-31_RomVault)

https://workupload.com/file/MuZrjfhdR4E

Enjoy

Thanks!

1.4TB seems a bit excessive to me, considering there’s a large number of repeats.

I’ve been working on my personal Laserdisc (LD) collection for the past 12 months, and after collecting the best versions of each unique game, I ended up with around 110GB. This only includes actual Laserdisc games, excluding things like the homemade content (e.g., Sucker Punch). If you include all of that, I'd estimate you could add another 50GB on top.

I’d recommend this torrent for anyone looking for 4K remastered content from LizardKing. Previously, this was only available via Megaupload, and with their download limits, it would take ages to grab 70GB.

@dyniel Where are your torrent ?

The torrent is at the link of

If that's the case then please share the smaller version

To MageMaster and all....

I am finding....
For some reason...

The most popular game from the 80's "Dragon's Lair" in 4k only seems to be in Spanish despite being a very American icon.
Now only is it in Spanish but the music is different like it was dubbed by a fanboy trying to avoid a copyright strike..

Maybe I am wrong, Maybe it's just the settings.

Is the audio encoded somewhere in the files that I can't find?

Someone clue me in.

Hi MikeL2000,

Are you using Daphne 4K 60FPS Remastered Collection v7 [LizardKing], from the entire collection?

I just double tested to be sure and game is indeed in English, when using Daphne 4K loader you will have options on the right to choose Spanish so maybe you have that one selected?

Just an FYI you can move those 4k and 60fps games to Hypseus and use that emu instead of old Daphne

This is the 4K Daphne version found inside MageMaster's torrent.

I found that the English OGG file is corrupt for the opening title sequence.

"dls00.vob.ogg"

so far, all others work fine.

What I end up doing is load it into Audacity which allows me to fix and overwrite the file if I choose too.
I have no clue if this will screw up timing, crc, or whatever.

It would be great if people check these things before they post.  Especially when this was such an enormous collection.

If at a minimum one of you fine gents could post a working version of that one file without any conflict that would be great.

Again, this is the English, Daphne, 4k version.  I also have no clue if this has been altered with a 5.1 nonsense or some deal like that.

I just would like what came with that collection to work as intended.

Is there an updated version of the torrent? The old one doesn't seem to work anymore (invalid link).

I sent Magemaster an pm that he did not reply to about a broken file.

I am hoping that it's being checked and all you need to do is a allow your client to update what everyone has already gotten.  That is of course he's doing an update.

I found a few files to have errors in them but for the most part the whole torrent stopped before I could get everything.

Also, as far as I know, all of these are legit public domain files so your ISP would have no reason to block or throttle any of this.

Lets encourage him to host v1.5 with the fixed files.

The Workupload-link still works and there are 2 seeds on the torrent right now.

I can still get the file, but when I go to open the torrent I get: Unable to load: "Laserdisc Collection v1.4.torrent": Invalid torrent file!"

...maybe it doesn't like uTorrent??

I'm finding that it is no longer being seeded.  The usual hit and run bunch of bozo's.

If anything, it needs to be updated to fix the broken files then posted again as long as you can recheck with the old files going into the Terrabytes.

Also, either he is not answering PM or I don't have enough privileges to send or receive PM's

So, someone else can PM the guy and let him know that some of the files are corrupt.

There are still 2 seeders.

MageMaster didn't create the torrent or the collection, so why bother him?

Try the magnet link that's inside the zip or else try a dufferent torrent client.

Because "HE" posted it.

This guy could easily PM me back and steer me in the right direction so I could let the power that be know there are corrupt files.

Next time I will just use my psychic powers.

My research has found at least one other source, EGGMAN, has the same corrupt audio file.

My guess is that someone took from someone else but what I am also guessing is that no one actually plays these games so people are just collecting and not checking.

So, in order to fix this I will just run it through Audacity which is easier than pulling teeth to get something done that benefits EVERYONE.

No psychic powers needed, just reading comprehension of the first post.

Reading the README that says it's Eggman's collection also helps.

Hey Mike, let’s unpack what you’re saying.

First of all, the collection was put together by Eggman, who is known for meticulously checking every game and file, removing any unnecessary parts, and adding everything needed to make it as easy as possible for the end user. That’s why this collection is designed so that everything is ready to go, and you can simply click on each piece of software to run the games.

Now, about the Daphne 4K collection:

Inside, there’s a README.txt file where you’ll find info that the collection was created by LizardKing, and he posted it on Emuline (including a direct link to the post). You might have missed that.

As for the game and the "broken" file, dls00.vob.ogg is 100% in English, and for Spanish, the file you need is dls00.vob_esp.ogg.

I have since replied but seen nothing back from you.

Also should I have seen a PM notification?

the .ogg file did you test it?

It's the only one corrupt.  Even in Eggman's Internet Archive

So I am baffled as to where the issue is if he checked it all.

Again, I loaded it in Audacity then re saved it and it works fine.

As far as the finer details, yes I can read but that would be contingent that part of the torrent was downloaded.

At present seeding i around 1 to 20 k per second.  So much for that torrent.

Try using the Internet Archive torrent.  It's non existent.  Sure you can get one but....

Either way, It's fixed now. and here it is.

I just tried the torrent again; there are the same 2 seeds and I get between 5 and 10 Mbyte per second.

Internet Archive torrents barely ever work so most people just download straight from their site.

OK thanks - the magnet link worked. :)

Now I just need to wait for it to actually begin to download...
