Hi folks, I know M1 is bloody old now, but i was wondering if anyone every found the missing NV files for the 2 missing games in the BDS?
Viper Phase 1
seibu1.211 524288 E5CAF4FF OK seibu2.212 524288 688A998E OK seibu3.210 524288 990FA76A OK seibu4.29 524288 13E3E343 OK viprp1.nv 2097664 00000000 Not found
Raiden Fighters Jet sound1.u0222 524288 D4FC3DA1 OK rfjet.nv 2097664 00000000 Not found
I use this quite often just for the odd sound / tunes and it would be great to have it 100% if possible. don't even know which romset base M1 uses...

MucciAdministrator1274 posts Hi ZX81v3
Why is it missing in BDA (strange topic)? For which system/Emulator are you searching it? I see "00000000" as CRC, that means nothing good ;-)
I suppose that they are not exists ........ |

Hi Mucci, M1 sound engine by Arbee. RR has the rom sets complete, but M1bridge lobs error on audit of the above sets. i didn't know if this was down to no NV file on RR or if it didn't exist full stop.
RR has the rom sets but not the NV. Shame he didn't update this program as it's fun :)
Seems now, thinking about it, like it didn't exist for people when the program was released.
Oh well :)

you can create .nv file using retroarch fbneo emulator
( when start game first time, there will be a counter in the screen,
wait it finished, then reset the emulator, and it will create .fs file )
file name should be rdft.fs but you can rename it to rdft.nv
the file size should be 2097664
then edit m1.xml with the correct sha1 ( count by some program, I use total command )
===
SHA1 for rdft.nv
2b8f043a31fd65d880e80de006ccfdff7d86f147
===
SHA1 for rfjet.nv
cf113e76316e9bd155f011b0c4127b9d0f4eba14
===
SHA1 for viprp1.nv
6cb9e003bc14ca095d85ef02703bc1d1996c74f9
===
nvram file for m1 player
P.S. I only lack 2 game to complete 100%, still keep searching...
Daytona USA Version ( missing usasnd1.bin, usasnd2.bin )
Stridor 2 (USA 991213) ( hr2-01m.3a, wrong CRC )

oha now I see that I have never replied to your statement. As the M1 Player and the DAT are not updated -> for me it is dead :-) but yeah you can still use it ;-) |

Does anyone have the LATEST BridgeM1 and latest supporting files that were released?
One of my drives died and I lost my BridgeM1 setup. When I tried to get the latest (released years ago), many links are dead. I used to get the updated files from a Japanese site back then. |

Here is my personal collection |

Has any one got this to work on windows 11? |

I'm currently using m1fx inside ARCADE (former MAMEUIFX). No additional roms are created, apart from official MAME ROMs. Maybe I will also rebuild a separate romset for M1. |
|
BridgeM1 still works (TESTED with a complete M1 0.7.9a1 (m1xml20160629) ROMs set - rebuild it today 1928 roms) with the m1.dll (included in the files that I uploaded - it comes from an earlier version of m1fx from 2010 - there is also a standalone m1.exe (win32sdl), a command line version based on SDL lib, independent from m1.dll, it doesn't need it).
Be careful on how to configure your ROMs path. For m1.exe you need to enter your path in a new line below "roms" line. For BridgeM1 you can do it from : click on load button and then on options, then add your path.
TESTED under Win11 24H2 |

Thanks for the BridgeM1 uploads!
I used the NV from Raiden Fighters (Germany) with the Japanese version rdftj, by renaming it and adding it to the archive. |

retrotasticMember36 posts I hadn't used M1 in a while and I used to point it to my current ROM set.
But I like the idea of having a full set of the specific ROMs for M1.
I tried using the m1.xml with ClrMamePro and RomVault but neither recognised it.
Does anyone know if it is possible to convert this xml file to something a ROM tool would recognise? |

If you look above in this thread, there is a post by DaffyDuck.
The Dat file is: M1 v0.7.9a1 (m1xml20160629) (cm).rar - 239K

retrotasticMember36 posts Thank you chewchew, I didn't realise it was a DAT, I am looking forward to trying this |

retrotasticMember36 posts I updated the m1.xml file and attached it to this post, thanks to the details from dewen.
BridgeM1 seems to run fine the first time it launches in Windows 10 22H2, but I think something corrupts an .ini or .cfg file over time and there are errors, I found that a reinstall fixes whatever is causing it. |
|
retrotasticMember36 posts Just a quick update: I resolved the issues with BridgeM1 by setting the Compatibility of the exe to Windows Vista. |

where is the complete set? |
