MAME 0.260 SL/CHD sooner requests

As usual because RR does not provide SL

Use his thread for added SL/CHD stuff (from official 0.259 to the next official release 0.260)

Don't search/post here stuff that is already added to 0.259 or earlier!

Why are there two spinfev folders?

Do I need both unkcougar.chd and spinfev.chd?

don't download unkcougar.chd (unneded). It was first added as good then replaced. I will check BDA and remove the unneeded CHD later.

That's btw the risk when you download roms/sets/CHD between the official releases. Sometimes they add and remove and fix those sets .... and re-add it again........ ;-)

clrmame pro would have either deleted if wrong file or re-named if right, but yes at first it might confuse people if they don't read the actual chd file name. Thanks for all your work Mucci

Missing 70 samples but they are all the same files across multiple sets.

 Try doing a 2nd scan with whatever manager you're using. Sometimes when files get fixed and moved it around it'll get missed by the scanner(esp. if the file needing it is before the one the file was removed from) but when it goes thru the 2nd time it'll find that file and add it then. Then if you're missing a file, you're prolly REALLY missing a file. Just a thought and how I do it. Usually clears it up on a 2nd pass. 

 That rom is in tvwz3a.zip in the BDA update-folder and on Mega.

Funny enough - if you copy them into the samples folder under the set name (e.g. cbrava, cbravaa, cbravab, etc.) they are 'found' but then identified as unneeded. If you fix them ... they are missing again ;)

Used ClrMame 4.047b - guess something in the descriptor in Mame.exe is borked. First time ever in 25 years of trying to stay 'MAME clean' 

Guessing, this will be fixed sometime - just messes with our OCD for the time being

Edit: Saw XPMan's post and downloaded the latest ClrMame 4.048a. That did the trick ... fixed!

Here still marked as unneeded with 4.048b ... how do you make it? i still copy them manuell in the Mame Samples folder ... with clrmamepro that did not work

Clrmamepro 4.048B (B version!!!) solved all problems now

samples.zip in samples dir, and all green again!

you're right. i ignored that ClrMamePro showed "parent sampleset: samples. I added them under the name that was under parent (cbrava, jackuse, sevilla and toledo).

Can someone point me in the direction of the PlayDIA CHD files?  When I get the SL datfiles from Progetto's Snaps (https://www.progettosnaps.net/dats/MAME/#bottom), it lists PlayDia as one of the SL's.  Am i doing something wrong?

I realize that MAME doesn't emulate them, but it is in the dat from Progetto.  Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry about that.  I thought that they were different since I had already gotten the files via the link you sent.  Not sure what happened, but I appreciate the help!
