small question: it takes me days to scan the teknoparrot DAT with RomVault. I also use Nvme disks. Is it the same for you? In addition, with each new DAT it scans everything again, I don't know if I'm using RomVault correctly. Thanks for your help.

 It should not take more than an hour to update on a HDD. Maybe less than 10 minutes on a NVME. Anyhow, RomVault uses the "RomVault3_3.Cache & RomVault3_3.CacheBackup" files to keep track of what needs rescanning and what does not, just don't mess with the filedates/size, as it uses to know if it's a new file that needs rescanning. You may want to look at the RomVault Wiki to customize your installation. Good luck.

Same here. Scanning and rebuilding takes hours and hours,even a day (TP+S all.net).

 Ah, I think I know what you did wrong, you should ALWAYS either uncompress each 7z to individual directories or pass them thru SAMUI BEFORE scanning and rebuilding.

 What compression do you use?

I don't know if everything is decompressed when scanning, I don't see anything. When rebuilding, yes everything is decompressed. I think I'll compress everything to ZSTD non-solid or ZSTD 7z solid. What do you think?

 I first started with ZSTD zip files, but I found it more trouble than it is worth, so I keep it torrentzipped, that way, rebuilding requires no recompression. It is fastest to torrentzip all the 7z files that you plan to audit and integrate within your set, then scan & rebuild from those files. zstd zip files is great in that it does not store any datestamps, and extracted files carry the day of extraction timestamps, rather than the 1996 date.  The best file format for "preservationist" would of course be the TDCZip format.

After scanning and rebuilding, still missing files from Silver Strike Bowling Live (3.02.07) (2017-05-10).

Sorry to bother everyone again iv got a subscription to teknoparrot as a Sargent but don't know if it's worth it thought you got games when you subscribe has anyone else got a subscription and if so is it worth it cause I don't know what I'm doing been new to this my kids love wakey races and nicktoons racing but I'm struggling to find any other game downloads need help if anyone can thanks

 Been doing it for years...well worth it....and with the new "it" games...it's even more awesome...)

Is it cause I can't find the games for the subscription side anywhere even looked in torrents found some roms on Google but half don't work eg mario kart and Luigis mansion which my kids really want driving me mad all these games on the teknoparrot download but can't find them anywhere love me lightgun games using a Wii remote connected to my pc and have a steering wheel for racing games and a fight stick for fighting games but just need to find the files for the games this is what iv always wanted on my pc played 2 spicy with Wii remote was great today by the way just need to find some more games now 

Ask yourself this question:  Am I going to actually PLAY the games that I'm paying a subscription for or am I just going to play it once and forget about it?  I was paying for a subscription for years and then one day, I just lost interest in a lot of the games (not all, but most of which I needed a subscription for).  Now I play only the games I don't need a subscription for and I don't miss the other games.

Now, your playing may differ and it may be worth it.  Is the reward worth all of the work in hunting for all of the games?  Once you have them all, are you going to play them?  If you answered "yes" then there's your answer.

You have a good point I'm not sure yet iv got my online account with the subscription but it's finding the games to play against people love me racing and shooters I really want to find terminator salvation I spent so much money over the years just playing that and I played mario kart dx in the arcade on holiday with me kids the other week in Blackpool and they were hooked spent loads lol when I seen it was on teknoparrot they were made up but I just can't find a working version of it drives you mad looking the internet for it lol

Hi guys been a busy day fingers are killing me lol just wanting to know what are the best games you play on tekno I'm loving the fast and furious games and GTi club plus my old favourite wacky races loved the cartoon fighting it's teken7 for me but not sure what other games to play what are your favourites for different genres guys

Hi guys has anyone else had a problem with mario kart dx 1.8 IV got the mario dx working fine but it's all in Japanese but the 1.8 version won't load it keeps saying failing to find direct3d not sure what that is can anyone help at all thanks
